Aeronaves de Mexico was founded in 1934 by Mr. Antonio Diaz Lombardo.
In 1988, the company was renamed Aerovias de Mexico, S. A. de C. V. with 35 aircraft and 3,500 employees.
In 2000, Aeromexico became part of the International Air Transportation Corporation (CINTRA).
Today Aeromexico counts 13,000 employees around the world who work to serve more than 600 daily flights, to 84 destinations in three continents, with a fleet including more than 120 aircraft that are eight years old, on average.
