AGIOS IOANNIS PILION (Port) ZAGORA-MOURESI
This is the cosmopolitan and one of the most beautiful beaches of
the region, since in the village of Agios Ioannis -in the periphery of Agios Dimitrios-,
spends its holidays the biggest part of the region’s tourists. A beach awarded
the Blue Flag of Europe having an easy and instant access. Each year stands out
for the services and the organization offered at the potential visitor. It can
be reached by Flying Dolphins departing from Volos, the island of Skiathos or
from Salonica. For many years now a lifeguard station is in operation, providing
advisory, preventive as well as suppressive action, rending this beach safe for
the bathers.

DAMOUCHARI (Settlement) ZAGORA-MOURESI
Damouhari is the most picturesque beach of the Municipality covered
by the purest white pebbles that lend it its special charm. It is located next
to its picturesque natural port that once used to be a supply center for the neighboring
villages. A stone-built path (kagioli) leads to Tsagarada and is recommended for
a long walk. The beach of Damouhari is awarded the Blue Flag of Europe certifying
the purity of its waters as well as its organization.

MOURESSI (Village) ZAGORA-MOURESI
This is one of the most long beaches of the Eastern Pelion, covered
with sand and pebbles, attracting many tourists each year who may reach it either
from the neighboring Agios Ioannis or through the Periphery of Mouresi where it
belongs, following a turnpike drive of about 5Km. It is a beach being awarded
the Blue Flag of Europe for many years now, for its organization and the purity
of its waters. It constitutes a characteristic sample of the region and the pride
of the Periphery of Mouresi.

MYLOPOTAMOS (Settlement) ZAGORA-MOURESI
Milopotamos is the best known and most advertised beach of the Municipality,
awarded the Blue Flag of Europe each year, for its beautiful emerald waters. The
huge rock standing in the middle of it as well as the aperture in one of its ends,
leading to another beautiful haven, lend at Milopotamos a distinctive beauty.
A lifeguard station will be in operation from this year on, providing advisory,
preventive as well as suppressive action, rending this beach even safer for the
bathers. The beach can be accessed by car through a 7km-turnpike road from Tsagarada,
with two roads leaving the village and a spacious Parking.

A wonderful beach, 4Km away from the Periphery of Anilio through a
passable but not turnpike road. It is worth a small discomfort, since the visit
will compensate anyone in search for a calm beach in order to enjoy the emerald
waters of the Aegean Sea.

PLAKA (Settlement) ZAGORA-MOURESI
This is the second beach of the periphery of Anilio and the most frequented.
Its access is through the village of Anilio following an earthen road of about
3Km. But it can also be reached from Agios Ioannis, walking down a path of 100meters
through which, during the summer period, is daily submerged by visitors searching
for a beautiful beach where the green of the mountain literally touches the sea,
giving Plaka the distinctiveness that renders it one of the most famous beaches
of the East Pelion.

TSAGARADA (Village) ZAGORA-MOURESI
This is one of the most beautiful beaches of the region but also one
of the most inaccessible. It may be reached by sea or by a turnpike road 2km long,
followed by another 2km of earthen road and a 10 minute long walk in the end.
However the visitor is compensated by the wonderful view he comes across seeing
from above an "embrace" of sand surrounded by high rocks rendering it
a natural port. Its thick sand and its pebbles predispose the potential visitor
of never wanting to leave it behind.

This beach of the periphery of Xourihti is known not only for the
purity of its waters but also for the almost absolute privacy it offers. Following
a route of 4km of earthen road, one can enjoy the emerald magic of the Aegean
Sea combined with the green-clad landscape of the mountain, relaxing away from
everything.
