The primary functions of the Hellenic Student Association are:
- to bring together all the Greek students currently enrolled at the University of Florida
- to help new students arriving from Greece and Cyprus
- to lead the newcomers through the confusion of the first few days and familiarize them with the university environment and the city of Gainesville
- promote the Hellenic spirit in the campus of the University of Florida
