MARPISSA (Village) PAROS
A picturesque hill village in the centre of southern Paros. It lies at a distance of 17 km from Parikia and takes its name from the daughter of the river god Euenos. A stroll through the village will give the visitor an opportunity to enjoy the picturesque paved alleys with their archways. In the village of Marpissa you will find numerous churches and chapels. East of Marpissa rises the hill of Agios Antonios (alt. 200m.), the summit of which is dominated by the monastery and the picturesque church.
