Municipality of Mousouri

MOUSSOURI (Municipality) CHANIA
The Municipality of Mousouri was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 12 Municipal Districts, the former communities of:
1. Alikianos,
2. Vatolakos,
3. Karanos,
4. Koufos,
5. Lakki,
6. Meskla,
7. Orthounion,
8. Prasses,
9. Sembronas,
10. Skines,
11. Fournes,
12. Psathogiannos.
Municipality seat is Alikianos, village of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 4886 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
