The Municipality of Kalpaki was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 8 Municipal Districts, the former communities of:
1. Ano Ravenia,
2. Geroplatanos,
3. Doliana,
4. Kalpakion,
5. Kato Ravenia,
6. Mavrovounion,
7. Negrades,
8. Chryssorachi.
Municipality seat is Kalpaki, village of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 2874 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
