Municipality of Tzoumerka

The Municipality of Tzoumerka was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 8 Municipal Districts, the former communities of:
1. Vaptistis,
2. Michalitsion,
3. Paleochorion,
4. Prosilion,
5. Chouliarades
and the settlements of:
1.Kedros,
2. Petrovounion,
3. Potistika, of the former community of Petrovouni.
Municipality seat is Chouliarades, village of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 1578 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
