The Municipality of Kalavryta was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 31 Municipal Districts, the former municipality of 1. Kalavryta and the former communities of: 1. Ano Vlassia, 2. Ano Loussi, 3. Valta, 4. Vilivina, 5. Goumenissa, 6. Doumena, 7. Drossaton, 8. Kalifonion, 9. Kandalon, 10. Kato Vlassia, 11. Kato Zachlorou, 12. Kato Loussi, 13. Kerpini, 14. Kertezi, 15. Korfes, 16. Kouteli, 17. Kryonerion, 18. Lagovounion, 19. Lapanagi, 20. Manession, 21. Mikros Pontias, 22. Petsaki, 23. Plataniotissa, 24. Priolithos, 25. Profitis Ilias, 26. Rogi, 27. Sigounion, 28. Skepaston, 29. Trechlon, 30. Flamboura. Municipality seat is Kalavryta, small town of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 8346 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
