MAKRAKOMI (Municipality) FTHIOTIDA
The Municipality of Makrakomi was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 14 Municipal Districts, the former municipality of:
1. Makrakomi
and the former communities of:
1. Archanion,
2. Asvestion,
3. Giannitsou,
4. Grammeni,
5. Kastrion,
6. Litosselo,
7. Makri,
8. Palea Giannitsou,
9. Pappas,
10. Platystomon,
11. Rovoliarion,
12. Trilofon,
13. Tsoukka.
Municipality seat is Makrakomi, small town of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 7276 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
