Municipality of Nea Zichni

The Municipality of Nea Zichni was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 14 Municipal Districts, the former municipality of:
1. Nea Zichni
and the former communities of:
1. Agios Christoforos,
2. Agriani,
3. Anastassia,
4. Gazoros,
5. Dimitra,
6. Draviskos,
7. Tholos,
8. Mavrolofos,
9. Messorachi,
10. Myrkinos,
11. Myrini,
12. Nea Petra,
13. Sfelinos.
Municipality seat is Nea Zichni, small town of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 10496 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
