The Municipality of Omiroupolis was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 4 Municipal Districts, the former municipality of:
1. Omiroupolis
and the former communities of:
1. Langada,
2. Sidirouda,
3. Sykiada.
Municipality seat is Vrodados, small town of the former municipality of Omiroupolis. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 7477 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
