Municipality of Meligalas

The Municipality of Meligalas was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 11 Municipal Districts, the former municipality of:
1. Meligalas
and the former communities of:
1. Anthoussa,
2. Zevgolation,
3. Kaliroi,
4. Magoula,
5. Mila,
6. Neochorion Ithomis,
7. Polichni,
8. Skala,
9. Stenyklaros,
10. Tsoukaleika.
Municipality seat is Meligalas, small town of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 4408 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
