The Aeginitikon Mansion combines the architectural atmosphere of a historic boutique hotel and the discreet hospitality in a great location.
Its historicity and special architecture dates back to 1780. It exudes the charm of other eras, placing it in the beautiful atmosphere of the picturesque city of Aegina.
The building was built in 1700 and was much smaller than today.
Its famous inhabitants were the Minister of Shipping Admiral Kountouriotis, the Agios Nektarios and later for a period of two years the Greek poet Costas Varnalis.
In the early 1900s, the building was renovated, made larger and acquired its neoclassical style. Initially the building served as a residence.
In 1987 the Aeginitikon Mansion was completely renovated and turned into a traditional hotel, in its current use.
On the ground floor of the neoclassical building there are two courtyards. These have built in such a way that there is always shade. Its rooms are furnished with old traditional furniture, while the ceilings are intricately painted by a Florentine painter.
