Acropolis identified with the ancient city of Narthakion
, a fortress of Achaia Phthiotis, 850 m. to the north of modern village.
Stretches of polygonal (to the north) and isodomic (to the east)
masonry are preserved up to height of 2m. The acropolis gate on the east side and remains of square towers dated to the Classical and Hellenistic period are preserved.
