The Palivou Estate is situated in the Ancient Nemea, approximately 800 meters away from the magnificent archaeological site. The winery, which is nestled within a privately-owned vineyard, exudes a small yet charming atmosphere. The Estate is conveniently located on the Corinth-Nafplio-Tripoli route and is only a one-hour drive or 127 km away from Athens. The region of Nemea boasts the largest vineyard in the Balkans, encompassing 25,000 hectares of vineyards. Palivou Estate is the owner of one of the two most extensive vineyards in the area. With over 300 acres of land, the Estate has planted various grape varieties, including Agiorgitiko, Roditis, Malagouzia, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, which have yielded exceptional quality wines.
For visitors to gain an in-depth understanding of the wine production process and the famous name of Nemea, a tour is recommended. The tour commences with a walk-through of the vineyard and viticulture, followed by a visit to the winery and concluding with a tour of the Estate's aging room, which houses 300 oak barrels of French and American oak.
