Blue Air is a Romanian low-cost airline headquartered in Bucharest, with its hub at Henri Coanda International Airport. It is the largest Romanian airline by scheduled passengers flown.
Blue Air became a full member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on 19 January 2016. Furthermore, Blue Air received the IATA Operational Safety Audit certification in December 2015, being a member of the IATA Clearing House).
Blue Air currently operates 18 Boeing 737s, 737-300, 737-500 and 737-800 aircraft, with a capacity of between 120 and 189 passengers.
The Blue Air fleet has been refurbished with the latest generation Recaro seats. Passengers can enjoy one of the lightest seats with adjustable back, specially designed for relaxation.
All investments in its fleet are aimed at reducing fuel consumption and therefore reducing emissions.
