The cave is situated
on the north-east side of the island. Its interior bears a rich lithomatic decoration and yielded an extraordinary
archaeological finding:
written ancient names,
mainly of adolescents, the remnants of an ancient initiation ritual. The cave is mentioned by ancient writers and
by modern travellers as well. The cave can be approached by the sea, but the interior is not open to the public,
as the archaelogical research is still in progress.
