The opening of the airport of Paros were at 10.5.1982, on a land granted by Mr. Nikolaos Pantelaios, from where named "Panteleio Paros Airport". It is Located 10 km southwest of Parikia town.
Its operation began as a municipal airport with a gravel runway and a small building of 80 sq.m. for terminal. In 1985 the runway was covered with asphalt.
In the beginning there was a ground floor building. In 1987 a first floor was added, which housed HCAA services and Hellenic National Meteorological Service station.
In 1989 the airport became national. Facilities’ area is approximately 400 sq.m.
