In Matala, with the legendary memories of the 60s and 70s, a new festival comes to unite the past with the present on a journey of music, art and culture, aspiring to become the leading cultural event of the region. The first Matala Festival was organized by the Municipality of Phaistos in June 2011 with a rich festive program and guest artists from various countries.
The forthcoming Matala Festival will be held on 2-4 June 2012.
