Lighthouse Sideros

The Sideros lighthouse, named of the Sideros cape where it is located, was constructed in 1822. The height of the cylindrical tower is 8.5 meters and its focal plane 78. The access to the lighthouse is easy as it is on the walls of Old Fortress of Kerkyra, in the Corfu town. It’s added in the Greek lighthouses network in 1863.

The Old Fortress of Kerkyra lies on the east side of Corfu port. The Sideros lighthouse belongs to most important preserved monuments of the castle.
