Lighthouse Lefkada

The Lefkada lighthouse was built in 1861. Its tower has 9 meters height and focal plane 12. It’s located at the entrance of the island, on the walls of Agia Mavra castle, at beside of the Lefkada bridge.

Once the castle hugged the whole town and protected her from the enemies & the pirates. The stone lighthouse as well the church of Agia Mavra, which are in the castle, are totally preserved. In nowadays restoration works are in progress.
