Lighthouse Papas

The lighthouse was first operated in 1890 and was built by the French Company of Ottoman Lighthouses. The cylindrical tower is 11 meters high and its focal plane 65 meters. According to the tradition the cape, as well as the lighthouse later, named that way because sometime the Pope was in danger to sink at the sea opposite the cape. It was added to Greek Lighthouses Network after Balkans Wars.
