The lighthouse was built in 1907. The tower height is 9 meters and its focal plane 17 meters. The current metallic lighthouse stands right in front of the old’s ruins. It is located on the Dichalia cape, which marks the entrance of Sami bay, at the east side of Kefallonia island, in a distance of some 5 km from Sami town.
