Hellenistic acropolis (early 3rd century BC). The isodomic fortification
wall, 2.50m. thick, is built of limestone blocks and surrounds a doublepeaked
knoll. Towers, 7m wide, are spaced across its course. The site is identified with
the ancient Thessalian city of Proerna.
