Overview

The small town of Mitilinioi, the old capital of the island, is built amphitheatrically on top of three hills in the middle of the fertile valley of Hisios. The mane of the Mitilinioi originates from the first inhabitants of this are who came from Mitilini (Lesvos). In Mitilinioi there is an important commercial activity and a vibrant nightlife.
