The whole of the Syvros region is full of a unique and varied beauty. Lower down
the olive trees prevail and as the altitude increases so do the plane trees. The
place has many waters and crops whilst old farmers describe how Syvros once had
the greatest number of watermills, 24 in total, to serve the needs of the local
population. Here and there can be spotted the springs of the Kerasia ravine, one
of the most beautiful on the island. All those who love rambling will soon be
able to enjoy walking along the paths which wind through the beautiful locale,
taking in the wonderful natural beauties as well as the delightful forest of Daphne.
The Karoucha cave, which is well worth a visit, is near Syvros
