The museum's purpose is to preserve the island's pharmaceutical history, as well as material from all over Greece and abroad. The museum collects artefacts related to pharmaceutical history, such as books, advertisements, photographs etc.
Museum’s actions include educational programmes for students as well as the issuance of the "Art of Evdimos" magazine, since 2012. At the same time an exhibition for Homeric plants and their use is under preparation.
