To the west of Galatas,
in a seventeen km. distance, lies the traditional village of Kalloni (the name
means Beauty), amongst the fruit groves and close to a sandy beach with a few
fish tavernas offering fresh fish. From here one can visit the ancient
theatre of Epidaurus (50 km. away), the ruins of the ancient
city of Trizina and the Devil’s Gorge, a small gorge with springs and
lush vegetation.
