Nea artaki is 10km north of Chalkida town. It’s first residents were refugees from Artaki of Kyzikou in Asia Minor, and that is the origin of its modern name. Yachts, speed boats and fishing boats are moored at the modern port of the area. The coastal road has many coffee shops and taverns that attract both tourists and the locals. Visitors are also impressed by the small church of Agios Nikolaos, which is at the port of the area.
